The liberal mainstream media have proven time and time again that they are selective in their news coverage, pushing their agendas through stories that better reflect them. It’s time we start calling them out on it!
ABC is the latest news outlet to be embroiled in controversy for its coverage of President Trump. As many have (or have not) learned recently, Obama’s national security adviser, Susan Rice, requested that members of the incoming Trump transition team be unmasked in reports of gathered intelligence, which were later leaked to the press.
Despite this massive news story, ABC has made no mention of the Rice scandal on its website’s homepage, via the Gateway Pundit. The story does not fit ABC‘s liberal agenda, so in their mind it does not exist.
It was also revealed that the House Intelligence Committee chairman, Devin Nunes, knew that Rice had been the one to unmask the Trump officials as well as the president himself. No logical reason beyond the political purpose of embarrassing the current administration has been identified.
Liberal outlets do not seem to care about national security and the stories that are immediately relevant to it — they simply want to push their own agendas.
This is the biggest news story of this year so far and one of the most important in decades — U.S. officials used spying techniques meant for protecting Americans from terrorists to spy on political opponents. That’s why it’s so obvious ABC actively decided not to report on it.
While many liberal mainstream media outlets had pathetic coverage of this story, ABC had non-existent coverage of it.
In addition to not being on its homepage, this scandal did not even break ABC’s politics page where it most certainly should have been.
This is why so many Democrats are turning away from the Democrat Party — it has gone too far down the liberal rabbit hole, using the mainstream media to promote its now extreme views. The liberal media have constantly only reported news that paints Democrats in a good light, and they fail to properly report on other stories.
News is supposed to be objective and inform people what is going on in this country and the world; it is supposed to remain unbiased. Fake news was a massive issue during the recent election, and it looks like it will be right into the near future.
It will be interesting to see if liberal media outlets like ABC continue with this approach into the distant future. If they fail to turn away from actual news, they could end up out of business in a couple of years and spiral away into obscurity.
