Thursday’s White House press briefing with press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was even more tense than usual, with reporters firing biased questions and doing their very best to make Trump look like a failure.
Sanders handled every question with class and cleverness. However, at the end of the briefing, one reporter’s blunt statement made Sarah lose a bit of patience.
Reporter April Ryan had already asked her one question when she started to spatter off another remark on Trump’s interactions with San Juan mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz… “What about that shirt that the mayor had on? The mayor of San Juan had a shirt saying ‘nasty..’ The President went there, it was very controversial…”
Before Ryan can even finish her statement (which really wasn’t a question at all), Sanders SHUTS HER DOWN!
“Well actually it wasn’t controversial. It was actually widely praised, even by a Democrat governor. I think that it is sad that the mayor of San Juan chose to make that a political statement instead of a time of focusing on the relief efforts. The President invited her to be part of that conversation. He specifically asked in the meeting where many were present, including a couple dozen other mayors who were very happy with the recovery efforts.”
The mainstream media has tried all week to make Trump appear as a failure in his response the the horrible disaster in Puerto Rico. However, Trump has completely succeeded in his relief efforts! He has been giving 100% to the people of Puerto Rico. He even spent the entire day their on Tuesday, seeing what more can be done to help.
Democrats however, have baited the San Juan mayor (Cruz) into constantly attacking Trump and politicizing the entire hurricane. Horrible!
After hearing that Cruz even wore a shirt depicting the word, ‘Nasty’ on television after Trump’s departure, Sanders LET LOOSE in her criticisms of the unprofessional mayor:
“He opened the floor up for discussion and she actually made zero comments. To me, that would’ve been the time and the place that she should’ve weighed in and asked for what she needed, and laid out what she was asking for for San Juan. She didn’t. Instead she chose to wait until the President left and criticized him on TV, which I think is the wrong thing for her to do for her constituents, and I hope next time she’s given the opportunity to help her constituents, she’ll take it.”
Cruz is literally acting like a child. She doesn’t care about her people, she only cares about her politics. Trump was civil and professional. He asked her to attend the briefing and voice her concerns. Instead she chose to wage a childish war and make matters even more complicated. Trump doesn’t have time for games, and he will not let this woman spread lies about his care for American citizens.
Enough is enough!
Thank you Sarah for standing up to this woman and defending our President! God bless you!
